With the publication of the Legislative Decree, it is indicated that the international agreement was approved by the Legislative Power of the country. This approval normally occurs after debates, discussions and votes in the National Congress.
After this publication, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will take the necessary steps to ratify the act by which the country formally confirms its intention to comply with the provisions of the international agreement.
The next step will be the elaboration of the Explanation of Reasons process by the MRE and the sending of this document to the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic for the purpose of measures regarding the Promulgation and Publication of the Decree.

For verification purposes regarding the ratification of the international act by the Brazilian government, the Concordia Platform can be consulted. The platform is a tool developed by the Division of International Acts and the Division of Informatics of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
